Members of the East Hampton Fire Department’s “White Knights” Heavy Rescue Squad responded to an accident around 12:40 a.m. on November 10 at the bus stop on Main Street in East Hampton in front of The Palm restaurant to a report of a motor vehicle accident with entrapment. Arriving units found a Mercedes 4-door sedan that had rear-ended a Hampton Jitney bus, and proceeded to use extrication tools to remove the occupants from the Mercedes. According to a press release issued by the department, an investigation is ongoing.
