The Wellness Foundation will host its 5th annual summer benefit on Saturday, June 18, from 6 to 8 p.m. at Mulford Farm, 10 James Lane in East Hampton.
This year’s event introduces participants to a Taste of Wellness with plant-based hors d’oeuvres by acclaimed chef Jay Astafa. Mr. Astafa’s creations are culinary works of plant-based art, and each dish will highlight a superfood. This year, Wellness Foundation focuses on celebrating our community and the many partners needed to build a “Wellness Zone” – a place where everyone has the tools and opportunity to live healthy lives to their fullest potential. This year’s Illumination Award honors two important community partners in this effort: Robert S. Chaloner, President and CEO of Southampton Hospital and Henry L. Murray, Chairman of The East Hampton Healthcare Foundation. The award celebrates individuals who are lighting the path of wellness for others.
There will be a book signing with special guests and honorary co-chairs Colleen Saidman Yee and Rodney Yee.
