Janet T. Verneuille, a resident of Sag Harbor, recently brought her 30-plus years of banking experience to The First National Bank of Long Island. The full-service commercial bank welcomed Ms. Verneuille as Executive Vice President and Chief Risk Officer effective June 3.
She has a proven track record of effective leadership and held executive management roles at local banking organizations which includes, most recently, Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer of Empire National Bank; Organizing Director, Executive Vice President of a national bank in organization, Georgica Bank, NA and Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer of Bridgehampton National Bank, now known as BNB Bank.
For a brief period of time, Ms. Verneuille also worked in education and government. She served as the Director of Business Operations and Treasurer of the Sag Harbor Union Free School District and Comptroller of the Town of East Hampton.

I am confident she will be an excellent Chief Risk Officer and am so pleased to have her on our team,” said Christopher Becker, Executive Vice President who will succeed Michael N. Vittorio as President and Chief Executive Officer of The First National Bank of Long Island on January 1, 2020.
Ms. Verneuille is a Certified Public Accountant and holds several degrees of higher education from Suffolk Community College, Hofstra University, Empire State College and is a graduate of the American Bankers Association Stonier Graduate School of Banking.
