The driver of a Subaru Forester was medevaced to Stony Brook University Hospital Thursday night as a precautionary measure after a collision at the intersection of Scuttlehole Road and Lumber Lane in Bridgehampton at about 7:30 p.m. on Thursday, July 23.
Bridgehampton Fire Department First Assistant Chief Jeff White said a passenger in the Subaru and the driver of the other vehicle involved in the collision, a Mercedes SUV, were both taken to Southampton Hospital for treatment of minor injuries.
Chief White said it appeared that the Subaru had been trying to turn west onto Scuttlehole Road from Lumber Lane when it collided with the eastbound Mercedes.
Two Bridgehampton ambulances were at the scene, as was a Southampton Village ambulance.
The road was closed for just under two hours as the wreckage was cleared.
