Do you like improv games? Then you’ll love “Yes And…,” a new online camp offered by Bay Street Theater for children ages7 to 9. Kids will learn about what makes these improv games so fun and how the world of improv relates to the world of theater.
Students will work with a teaching artist as they experiment with different forms of improvisation and use their imagination to create their very own exercises. The camp will culminate in a recorded final performance for friends and family to enjoy. The camp meets and will be led by Suzanne Clifton Walsh, a theater specialist with a bachelor and master’s degree in educational theater from New York University.
The camp meets 9:30 to 11 a.m. daily, Monday through Friday, from July 20 to 24. The cost is $250.
Other online summer camps at Bay Street include a “Puppetry & Variety Camp” for ages 4 to 7 led by Liz Joyce of Goat in a Boat Puppet Theatre meeting July 27 to 31, and August 24 to 28, from 9:30 to 11 a.m., and “My Life The Musical!” led by Bethany Dellapolla for ages 9 to 12 meeting August 10 to 14 from 9:30 to 11 a.m.
