The East Hampton-based Wellness Foundation will host its 7th annual summer benefit on Saturday, June 16, at Mulford Farm in East Hampton, where the foundation’s vice president and executive director of education and programs, Jennifer Taylor, will receive the annual Illumination Award, an honor created in 2012 for individuals and businesses that illuminate the path to wellness for residents in the region.
The Amaden Gay Agencies will also receive honors as the Foundation’s Corporate Wellness Partner, and Amber Waves Farm in Amagansett as its Local Farm Partner. John M. Marshall Elementary School Principal Beth Doyle and Southampton Intermediate School sixth grade health teacher Shawn Smith will be recognized as Wellness Zone School Leaders. Students Christopher Cruz and Kyla Cerullo will also be honored as WKids School Wellness Leaders for their efforts with their classmates.
Wellness Champion honors will also be awarded to Robert Covalito and Noelle Marcantonio for the work they have done through the Wellness Foundation that has improved their own personal health. East Hampton Family Medicine nurse Erin McKay will receive honor as a Community Medical Partner, with Sabrosa Mexican Grill noted as a W Restaurant Program, offering nourishing and affordable meal programs and donating over $50,000 to local organizations. Lastly, Linda Silich, owner of Silich Core & Strength will receive an award as a Wellness Zone Business Partner for her work in the community.
