In 2016, an article in Travel & Leisure said, “Montauk’s very best restaurants and cafes offer hyper fresh fare, a breezy vibe, and with dynamite waterfront views.”

That reputation has only continued — and many of those restaurants will participate in the sixth annual “Taste of Montauk” on Sunday, July 29, at Gurney’s Montauk Yacht Club & Resort, located at 32 Star Island Road.

Presented by the Montauk Chamber of Commerce, the event will be held on the resort’s Great Lawn — with a view of Lake Montauk — from 6 to 9 p.m. to the musical stylings of The Lynn Blue Band.

“Montauk has become a foodie destination gaining a lot of press attention in recent years,” Montauk Chamber of Commerce Executive Director Laraine Creegan said in a statement. “Montauk has been attracting top restaurateurs and chefs including outstanding home-grown ones, who love our hamlet to work and play.”

Restaurants will include: 668 The Gig Shack, Backyard at Sole East, Saltbox, East by Northeast, Tacombi, Montauk Gurney’s Montauk, Gurney’s Montauk Yacht Club & Resort, Montauk Shellfish, Ruschmeyer’s, MTK Lobster House, Duryea’s Lobster Deck, Gringo’s Burrito Grill, Muse@ the End, Tauk at Trail’s End, Sloppy Tuna and Last Hope Lagoon.

Participating wineries and breweries include Bedell Cellars, Duck Walk, Martha Clara, Osprey’s Dominion, Cliffton Dry Sparkling Wine-Style Cider, Montauk Brewing Co., and Montauk Hard Label.

Advance tickets are $85 or $95 at the door, if available. All proceeds benefit the Montauk Chamber and its continuing initiatives for the community. For more information, call (631) 668-2428 or visit montaukchamber.com.
