Suzanne Hall Knapp, a longtime resident of Sag Harbor, passed peacefully and with dignity at the Kanas Center of East End Hospice in Quiogue on Tuesday, April 19. She was 83 years old.
Born in Ridgewood, N.J. on August 30, 1932, she was the daughter of Charles Randolph and Helene (Coyle) Hall.
A graduate of Ridgewood High School and Skidmore College, Ms. Knapp was an artist who also attended the Arts Student League in New York City. She was a volunteer at the Parrish Art Museum and a member of the Ridgewood Art Association. She was also a member of the Northampton Colony Yacht Club.
Ms. Knapp enjoyed music, reading and crossword puzzles.
Ms. Knapp is survived by her children, Mary Bryson Knapp of Sag Harbor, Nancy Knapp Klavis (Leroy) of Cape May, N.J., and Randy Hall Knapp (Tracie) of Newark, Ohio. She is also survived by grandchildren Shannon, Samantha and Kate. She was predeceased by a brother, Chuckie.
Interment will be private at Maryrest Cemetery in Mahwah, N.J.
The family asks that memorial donations be made to East End Hospice or the John Jermain Memorial Library.
