Summer Online with BookHampton


BookHampton has a whole series of virtual events coming up now that summer is officially here. To learn more, visit Online events require registration and registered attendees will receive a link to the virtual Zoom event the day of the event.

Every Tuesday at 11 a.m. throughout the summer, BookHampton “tastes” a new book by reading aloud the first chapter live via Zoom. New books for families with children in grades K-2 will be read each week and will include different genres, different authors and staff favorites. Participants will receive emailed activities to fully enhance the experience.

On Saturday, July 4 at 5 p.m., author James Patterson will read from his novel “Hawk. An $18.99 ticket to the online event includes one copy of “Hawk” with a custom bookplate signed by James Patterson and a link and password to the virtual event.

On Tuesday, July 7 at 7 p.m. BookHampton’s Book Club delves into “Scandal on Plum Island,” ($17.95) Marian E. Lindberg’s true life story of Major Benjamin Koehler who was arrested and accused of “immoral conduct” at Plum Island’s Fort Terry at the end of 1913.
