In 2008, “13” premiered on Broadway as the first of its kind to be performed by an all-teenage cast. This weekend, Stages, a Children’s Theatre Workshop will also rise up to the challenge.

Directed by Helene Leonard, the cult teenage musical starring 22 young actors follows the story of 12-year-old Evan Goldman, who is forced to move from Manhattan to a small town in Indiana, where he struggles to be popular and survive his first year in a new school.

“Harder than it seems: he soon learns that ‘cool’ is where you find it, and sometimes where you least expect it,” according to a press release. “Please join us for this hilarious, high-energy, coming-of-age musical for anyone who is 13, has been 13, or will be 13!”

Performances will be held on Saturday, April 14, at 2:30 and 7:30 p.m., and Sunday, April 15, at 2 p.m. at Bay Street Theater, located at 1 Bay Street in Sag Harbor. Tickets are $15. For more information, please call (631) 329-1420 or visit baystreet.org.
