The Stony Brook Southampton Windmill is a national literary landmark, a fixture in local lore surrounded by myths and legends — and on Friday, December 7, by Christmas lights.
The annual “Lighting of the Windmill” will be held from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. on campus, located at 39 Tuckahoe Road in Southampton, with refreshments, music, guided windmill tours and more.
“This cherished tradition is the perfect way to kick off the season,” according to a press release.
Following the lighting, associate professor Janet Nye will present “The Future is Now: Climate Change and New York Fisheries” at 7:30 p.m. in Duke Lecture Hall.
Admission is free. For more information, email email@example.com.
