South Fork Bakery Becomes a Nonprofit

The South Fork Bakery is officially a nonprofit. It applied for nonprofit status in May of 2018 and received notification in December of 2018 that it had been approved by the state. In operation since May of 2016, Shirley Ruch’s South Fork Bakery has had a mission to employ local people with special needs.

On Wednesday, March 27, the nonprofit will have a fundraiser at the Hamptons Hawaiian Saimin Shop on Bay Street at Dopo La Spiaga. The event will begin at 5:30 p.m. and is $50 per person. For more information, visit southforkbakery.com.
