On Saturday, July 24, William Ris Gallery in Jamesport opens “Outeast,” the first of a series of exhibitions with the South Fork-based collective folioeast, with a reception from 4 to 7 p.m.

The exhibit runs through August 29 and includes work by 16 of the represented artists in the group. Folioeast founder Coco Myers and gallery owner Mary Cantone are curators of the show.

Painters included in the multi-disciplinary collection are: Jonathan Glynn, John Haubrich, Janet Jennings, Jane Martin, Christine Matthai, Beth O’Donnell, Dan Welden and Amy Wickersham. Printmakers Lesley Obrock, collagist Janice Stanton photographers Scott Farrell and Jaime Lopez and sculptors Dennis Leri, Aurelio Torres, Sarah Jaffe Turnbull and Mark Webber are also included.

The one constant in the exhibition is the theme of color and each participating artist brings to the gallery a unique palette and style.

The dates of artist talks will be announced. The exhibition is free and open to the public. The William Ris Gallery, located at 1291 Main Road in Jamesport, is owned and directed by Mary Cantone. The gallery exhibits an extensive selection of original contemporary works by East Coast artists with a Long Island concentration. For more information, visit williamris.com.
