Services have been announced for Sag Harbor resident and businessman David Lee, known to many as “Dave.” A former president and longtime member of Temple Adas Israel will be remembered at a funeral service on Thursday, December 1 at noon at the Temple, which is located at the corner of Atlantic and Elizabeth streets in Sag Harbor. Interment will immediately follow at the Temple’s cemetery, Chevra Kodetia, on Route 114 in Sag Harbor.
Shiva will be observed at the Lee home – 69 Buell Lane Extension in East Hampton – on Thursday from 5 to 8 p.m., with a Shiva service at 6 p.m., and on Saturday, from 6 to 8 p.m. with a Shiva service at 6 p.m.
A second Memorial Service will be held at Temple Adas Israel on Wednesday, December 28 at 2 p.m. for family members of Mr. Lee traveling from Israel. That service is also open to the community.
Mr. Lee is survived by his wife, Joanna Paitchell Lee, daughters Michelle (Steven) Connar and Cheryl (Vincent) Laviano, granddaughter Cantor Rebecca (Oren) Goren, great-granddaughters Yael and Na’ama, and brothers, Martin Lee and Bernard Lee. Donations in his memory may be sent to Temple Adas Israel.
