If you haven’t heard Los Hacheros yet, get ready to dance as they bring their big sound and vintage Latin vibe to the Brooklyn Historical Society during Sylvester Manor’s Season Preview Cocktail Party on Thursday, March 14, from 6:30 to 9 p.m. — a sneak peak of the music to come this summer during the Creekside Concerts.
Bennett Konesni, co-founder of Sylvester Manor, will emcee the festivities, and lead archaeologist Stephen Mrozowski will announce the upcoming digs, beginning in June, at the Manor garden on Shelter Island.
Tours will also be offered throughout the evening to explore the world-renowned archives of Brooklyn Historical Society’s Othmer Library, located at 128 Pierrepont Street in Brooklyn.
“Come learn about our shared history and connections between Brooklyn and Shelter Island,” a press release said.
Tickets are $150 and $80 for age 30 and under. For more information, visit sylvestermanor.org.
