Sagaponack Woman Reported Missing

The Southampton Town  Police Department has issued a Missing Persons Alert for a Sagaponack woman.

Lilia Aucapina, also known as “Esperanza” Aucapina, 40, of 517 Toppings Path in Sagaponack, was last seen on Saturday, October 10 at 9 a.m. at 386 Montauk Highway in Wainscott, police said.

Ms. Aucapina was reported missing at 9:20 p.m. Saturday night.

On Sunday afternoon, a white unmarked police car and five other vehicles were in the driveway of Ms. Aucapina’s house. A police officer, who was speaking to a young woman in the car, ordered a reporter to leave the property.

Ms. Aucapina has been described as Hispanic with medium length black hair and brown eyes. She is 5 feet, 3 inches tall and weighs 130 pounds. Police said she was last seen wearing blue jeans, brown boots, a black winter jacket, and had her hair up.
