Sag Harbor Village Takes First Look at 2020-21 Budget

The Sag Harbor Village Board on Wednesday, February 26, took its first look at a projected $12.58 million budget for the 2020-21 fiscal year.

The initial spending plan calls for an 8.75 percent hike in spending, totaling just over $1 million.

Board members spent little time examining the document, which they will take up in earnest at a budget work session on March 25, although trustees asked Village Treasurer Rhonda Merserole to explain what was included in some of the different categories in the document.

A separate village sewer fund, which is restricted to those properties connected to the village sewage treatment plant, shows a projected total of $774,423, up by $22,241, or 2.96 percent.
