Student-musicians from Pierson middle and high schools have been selected to perform in the annual Hampton Music Educators Association (HMEA) Music Festivals, scheduled for January 16 and 23.

The students were selected to perform in the prestigious festivals based on teacher recommendations and scores received at NYSSMA.

“It is an honor and a privilege for the young ladies and gentlemen to perform with the HMEA ensemble while representing our school and community,” said Eric Reynolds, Pierson High School band director. “Our festival students possess a tremendous amount of talent and we are all extremely proud of their commitment, dedication and achievements.”

Students in the middle school chorus performing at the HMEA festival include Casey Annicelli, Anne Browning, Leonita Browning, Emily Brownstein, Gaylin Davey, Valerie Duran, Angela Gardella, Emily Glass, Indira Roth, Sara Schoen, Lady Tirado Toral and Francesca Vitale.
