In November 2016, M&V Limousines Ltd. acquired Hampton Luxury Liner to offer clients upper class travel between New York City and the Hamptons by coach bus. Endeavoring to expand on his company’s successful private car and limo service company, President and CEO Mark Vigilante decided to breathe new life into the coach service last year when he also acquired five luxury Setra Mercedes state-of-the-art motor coaches, complete with restrooms, WIFI, outlets, and movie selections for each client to watch on their own devices. This year Hampton Luxury Liner will include Sag Harbor in its schedule for pick up and drop off in the Hamptons.
“M&V has been in business 25 years this year,” Vigilante says. “People come to us because we have a huge selection of new vehicles, antiques, modern luxury cars, party buses and coach buses. It has always been my goal to offer my clients the best and to have a wide variety of vehicles to suit all tastes and budgets. I have always enjoyed watching clients’ jaws drop when they see some of the vehicles that we have and have created. We get creative with it.”
Vigilante founded his business when he bought a 1988 Cadillac Deville limousine in 1993 to do corporate and funeral work for his family’s business. It sparked an interest that led him down a path of purchasing exotic and antique cars and limousines as different types of limousine services for special events. The business evolved to include a lineup of party buses and luxury and coach buses, all available for weddings, prom, vineyard tours, excursions, airport service, and more. Today, they offer Cadillac Escalades with jet doors and marble floors, a new extended wheelbase Rolls Royce Phantom formerly owned by Floyd Mayweather, a Maybach 62 white on white, and a 1937 Packard Super 8 Limousine, which Vigilante says is extremely rare.
When Hampton Luxury Liner was added to M&V’s fleet, Vigilante says the entire company was extensively renovated, covering everything from software to the website, the buses themselves and the staff, as well as the routes. Customers began asking last year for service to Sag Harbor, and Vigilante says the company is looking forward to expanding their schedules and destinations further.
“These buses have leather reclining seats and have much more leg room than the average coach bus,” Vigilante says of the new Setra Mercedes buses. “This year we added a couple more of those as well as a couple of coach class buses, which we have available at a lower price point.”
As part of their Diplomat service, passengers may enjoy features such as complimentary beer and wine, sandwiches, and hot towels. Priding themselves on the customer experience, Vigilante shares that drivers are always in uniform with a shirt and tie, and that most trips have trained attendants that can provide whatever level of service the client desires.
Another unique East End service includes the Hampton to Hampton service where passengers can board in villages like Sag Harbor for transportation to Montauk or Westhampton, and anywhere in between, for $19. Value packs for the various class levels of travel range from $159 to $499 for ten tickets.
“I just have a passion for what I do and we enjoy it,” Vigilante says of his company. “Now the Hampton Luxury Liner is like running a high-end airline on the ground and it’s a challenge that I enjoy as well. It is my goal to be the bus service of choice on the East End, and I believe we will get there because we have a great product at a very competitive price.”
