The Sag Harbor School District is poised to appoint a new business administrator, Dr. Philip Kenter, who currently serves as the school business official in the Tuckahoe Common School District.

According to a school board meeting agenda posted online on Friday afternoon, the board is slated to vote on Dr. Kenter’s appointment during its meeting on Monday, December 4.

Dr. Kenter would succeed Jennifer Buscemi, who served close to three-and-a-half years as Sag Harbor’s business official. Ms. Buscemi’s last day in the district was November 27; Dr. Kenter’s first day is to be January 16, 2018, according to the board agenda. His salary is proposed at $175,000 annually, and he is to receive a four-year contract.

The board is also slated to approve an agreement with Ms. Buscemi for her to work on a per-diem basis during Dr. Kenter’s transition period, at a daily rate of $770, through February 9.

The school board’s meeting on Monday is at 6:30 p.m. in the Pierson Middle-High School Library.
