Under the terms of the contract, for a 10-month term, the Sagaponack school district will pay $162,637 to the Sag Harbor School District, which includes a yearly cost of $16,649.17 for a new 2019 Chevrolet Suburban school bus which will pick up students in grades kindergarten through third grades from their homes. The Sagaponack School District will be responsible for two-thirds of the cost of the bus, or $49,947.50, to be paid over a three year period, assuming the contract is renewed each year. The Sag Harbor School District will pay $74,921 upfront for the bus and will also pay for insurance, depreciation, repairs and gas. The contract terminates June 30, 2020 and can be renewed for another year at that time.
