Road resurfacing on Route 114 is expected to begin Tuesday, April 17, on a 4.5-mile stretch between Stephen Hands Path and Division Street, the New York State Department of Transportation has announced.
According to a DOT announcement, lane closures are expected during off-peak daytime hours from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. over the course of one week.
“As with most road projects, work may be canceled, postponed or prolonged due to inclement weather,” the DOT said.
The work will focus on eight locations between East Hampton Town and Sag Harbor Village where deteriorated asphalt will be resurfaced with “approximately 400 tons of new asphalt,” the DOT said. “When the new asphalt riding surface is completed, lane markings will then be painted on the new pavement.”
The DOT will provide updates online at 511ny.org, on Twitter at @nysdotli and on Facebook at Facebook.com/NYSDOT.
