Coast Kitchen at The Montauk Yacht Club, located at 32 Star Island Road in Montauk, may have a killer happy hour — $3 beers, $8 glasses of wine and $10 specialty drinks and bar bites — but it also has a three-course prix fixe menu for $29.95, served daily from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m.
The menu selection is subject to change, but here is just a taste.
The first course is a selection from spicy tamarind chicken wings with crispy yucca and cilantro ranch; a Caesar salad with ciabatta croutons, white anchovy, Parmesan crisp and traditional Caesar dressing; a house salad, with watermelon radish, cucumber, tomato, carrot, charred red onion, avocado and a lemon vinaigrette; or a paleo roasted pumpkin bisque, which comes served in an actual pumpkin.
Main course options include a bourbon glaze half chicken with Maytag blue cheese, grilled stone fruit, roasted cashew and a bourbon glaze; grilled branzino with mushroom risotto and seasonal vegetables; the chef’s choice of seasonal veggie pasta; or a grilled skirt steak with seasonal vegetables and roasted red potato.
Dessert rounds out the meal, with either triple chocolate pumpkin pie; vanilla or chocolate ice cream; s’mores; or chocolate cake.
