Pierson High School: Here Comes Homecoming

Pierson High School in Sag Harbor will celebrate Homecoming this weekend with a slate of events for students, parents, alumni and the community at large.

Beginning on Friday, September 20, students will enjoy a Pep Rally sponsored by the student council in advance of a Varsity volleyball game vs. Mattituck High School in the Pierson gymnasium at 4:30 p.m. Varsity and junior varsity boys soccer also kicks off at 4:30 p.m., with games versus Hamptons Bays.

The PTSA will host its Homecoming Celebration on the Pierson back field from 6 to 9 p.m. featuring food trucks, games, a photo booth, class lip sync battle and more, open to the public.

Homecoming festivities continue on Saturday, September 21, with the annual court and float parade, also sponsored by the PTSA, at 9 a.m., stretching from Main Street to the Mashashimuet Park grandstand where guests will then be treated to skits performed by each of the high school classes at 9 a.m. The alumni, staff and parent field hockey and soccer games will start at 11 a.m. at Mashashimuet Park, followed by a junior varsity field hockey game against Shoreham Wading River at 10 a.m., a garsity field hockey game against Shoreham Wading Riding at noon with a varsity girls soccer game against Wyandanch closing out the weekend at 1:30 p.m.
