An exhibition of the work created during this year’s Pierson Fashion workshop, featuring student dresses and designs created by students in grades seven through 11 this summer using materials donated by fashion guru Donna Karan and Urban Zen and accessories designed and created during the 2018-19 school year using repurposed materials, will open at Julie Keyes Gallery in Sag Harbor on Saturday, March 30.

The opening will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. with the exhibit on view through Sunday, March 31. In addition, work from a pilot program created by Pierson senior Gabby Knab will also be presented during the exhibition. This program engaged elementary school children and their parents in both fashion design and construction.

The three-year-old Pierson Fashion Workshop is presented by award-winning designer Monica Frisbie of Mondrina. Funded by the Donald Reutershan Educational Trust, its goal is to provide students with an authentic opportunity to experience the fashion design process.
