Peloton, a high tech and socially connected fitness bike with a 22-inch HD sweat proof touchscreen, last week announced a new partnership with Sag Harbor yoga instructor, Colleen Saidman Yee.
For the first time, Peloton has released streaming yoga content that is taught by Ms. Yee through a new “Beyond the Ride” Yoga video series.
“Peloton is thrilled to collaborate with Colleen Saidman Yee, dubbed the ‘First Lady of Yoga,’ to launch this new video content to our members,” John Foley, co-founder and CEO of Peloton said. “Colleen’s values and philosophies are closely aligned with that of our company. We are collectively passionate about fitness as a motivating and empowering experience for all.”
Peloton has transformed the at-home fitness experience by combining design with modern technology and convenience that gives people access to live and on-demand cycling classes taught by instructors from around the world.
“Peloton has re-energized the concept of at-home fitness and brought together an avid, engaged community of riders,” said Ms. Saidman Yee said. “I’m excited to teach yoga to Peloton’s extensive member community nationwide and ultimately help people better connect with their bodies.”
Peloton started “Beyond the Ride” last year for members to supplement their on-bike workouts with exercise and stretching routines that target all areas of the body. This new yoga series offers a wide range of practices from beginning to advanced levels and is meant to accompany the bike workouts as well as offer solo routines for Peloton’s home bike owners and those who use the app.
Peloton has the first and only fitness bike that has connected a home workout machine with live group cycling classes, “allowing for interaction and competition with fellow riders across the country and real-time instructor feedback, while monitoring an array of output metrics.” Peloton bikes are sold online and in showrooms.
