The Parrish Art Museum will continue its popular day trips to awe-inspiring art destinations on Wednesday, May 22, with an excursion to Mana Contemporary, a leading arts institution in Jersey City dedicated to celebrating the creative process.
Led by Parrish Art Museum Director Terrie Sultan and Chief Curator Alicia G. Longwell, the program features a tour of five exhibitions by artists John Chamberlain, Dan Flavin, Arnulf Rainer, Fred Sandback and Andy Warhol.
“Exclusive art day trips that provide an insider’s view of important art institutions of the region seemed to be a logical next step for the museum to expand opportunities for our members and the public,” Sultan said in a press release. “These intimate, fun excursions allow guests to engage with art and artists on a very deep level and position the Parrish and other institutions in a broader context.”
Tickets are $150, which includes round-trip transportation from the East End or New York, museum admission and lunch at the Mana Contemporary Café, and complimentary snacks and wine on the return trip, and registration is required.
