Paintings By Nina Gillman On View

Nina Gillman's "Studio View 79th Street 1," 2016.

From January 11 through 27, Elena Prohaska Fine Arts will present an exhibition of paintings, collages and prints by Amagansett and New York City artist Nina Gillman at the Kathryn Markel Fine Arts gallery in Bridgehampton.

Gillman is a representational artist in the modern tradition. Her still-lifes, window views and floral close-ups are compositions of shape and color in a “flattened space.” After practicing corporate law for 30 years, Gillman retired from the field in order to immerse herself full-time in studio art. She received an MFA from the New York Studio School in 2015.

Kathryn Markel Fine Arts is at 2418 Montauk Highway, Bridgehampton.
