Our Fabulous Variety Show Returns with a New Production at CMEE

Our Fabulous Variety Show is getting ready to offer its first stage show since December 2019. On Friday and Saturday, June 11 and 12, OFVS will present “TAP: The Rhythm Awakens,” its 6th annual tap dance show, at 6:30 p.m. at the Children’s Museum of the East End in Bridgehampton. The show pays tribute to the roots of tap dance and this year, dives deeper into each performer’s own tap journey. With a new slate of dances, the show shares how dance has touched troupe members’ lives and helped them survive the pandemic.

Dancers of all ages and skill levels will unite on stage to tell the history of tap dance. The production features dancers from Aaron Tolson’s company Speaking in Taps, local tap professional and teacher Anita Boyer, female impersonator RaffaShow, and host Joe Pallister. Also performing will be OFVS Players and dancers: Anne Chaisson, Olivia Chapman, Alyse Chapman, Patrick Conlon, Sasha Dutrieux, Fay Feleppa, Krissy Feleppa, Sasha Garcia, Olive Guinan, Suraiya Guzman, Kasia Klimiuk, Olivia Megginson, Sabrina Mello Da Silva, Ella Menu, Katherine Mitchell, Mia Phillips, Gray Phillips, Lucy Phuong, Emma Raider, Elizabeth Raider, Mabel Reijtenbagh, Jadiel Rodríguez, Jade Samuelson, Lindsay Sanchez, Renée Sanchez, Sophia Sanchez-Cleary, and West Wald.

Seating is general admission and performances are weather dependent. Limited tickets will be available for presale with more available the day of at the door. The show is 80 minutes with no intermission. Tickets are $15 at ourfabulousvarietyshow.org or 631-507-4603. Donations are also appreciated and can be made on the website.

OFVS consists of an ever-evolving company of performers that perform and produce eclectic creations. Anita Boyer and Kasia Klimiuk founded this eclectic troupe in the fall of 2010 and use performances as a way to raise funds for accessible arts educational programming and high-quality cultural arts experiences.
