Carolyn Ann (Mosher) Olejnik of North Haven died on February 8, surrounded by loved ones. She was 83 years old.
Mrs. Olejnik was born in Erie, Penn., on September 7, 1934, the daughter of Alfred and Adelaide (Cosgrove) Mosher. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her stepfather, Chester Pietron.
Mrs. Olejnik moved to Sag Harbor in 1959 and maintained a business as a seamstress at home while raising her family. She later retired as a secretary for Classic Abstract in Sag Harbor.
She was an active member of the American Legion Auxiliary in Sag Harbor.
Mrs. Olejnik is survived by her children, Danny Olejnik, (husband Randy Saber) of Great Neck and Sag Harbor, and Robert Todd Olejnik (wife Cindy) of Dover, Fla.
She is also survived by a granddaughter, Angela Olejnik-Scofield (husband James), and great-grandchildren Christian Carlsen, Carlos Thomas and Scarlett Rose Scofield, and many nieces and nephews.
She is also survived by brothers Richard Mosher (wife Pauline) of Colton, Calif., and Alfred Mosher of New York City. She was predeceased by her brother Russell Mosher (wife Mary Agnes).
The family wishes to acknowledge the help of the Sag Harbor Lions Club.
A celebration of Mrs. Olejnik’s life will be held at a time to be determined in the spring, followed by interment at Oakland Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers the family asks that memorial donations be made to the Sag Harbor American Legion Auxiliary.
