Candidates for Southampton supervisor and highway superintendent will get the opportunity to discuss their candidacies and answer questions from members of the Noyac Civic Council when that organization meets at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday, September 12.
The group will call its meeting to order at 7:30 p.m. before turning the floor over at 7:40 to Ray Overton, the Republican candidate for supervisor, who will be given 20 minutes to speak and answer questions. After a five-minute break, incumbent Supervisor Jay Schneiderman, running on the Democratic and Independence Party tickets, will get the floor from 8:05 to 8:25 p.m.
After another five-minute break, Lance Aldrich, the Republican candidate for highway superintendent, will be given a the floor at 8:30 p.m. for 20 minutes, with incumbent Highway Superintendent Alex Gregor, also endorsed by the Democratic and Independence parties, also given 20 minutes.
When the council meets on October 10, the candidates for Southampton Town Trustees will be given a similar opportunity.
The civic council meets at the old Noyac Schoolhouse on Noyac Road.
