U.S. Representative Lee Zeldin on Friday, January 13, announced that he has been appointed deputy vice chairman for finance of the National Republican Congressional Committee for the 2018 election cycle.
“I am looking forward to working with my colleagues at the NRCC to ensure we have all of the necessary resources to ensure House Republicans stay in the majority following the 2018 election,” Mr. Zeldin said in a release. “With Nancy Pelosi remaining at the helm yet again of the House Democrats and the competing visions between the parties so clear as to which direction is best for the future of our country, I have accepted this new leadership position.
“I am pleased to announce that Congressman Lee Zeldin will be joining the NRCC leadership team in the position of Deputy Vice Chairman for Finance. “He has been an outstanding representative from New York’s 1st Congressional District and will be an important addition to my team in the 2018 cycle,” said NRCC Chairman Steve Stivers of Oklahoma in a release.
