Miwa Matreyek — animator, director, designer, and performer — will present “This World Made Itself” and “Myth & Infrastructure” on Sunday, June 24, at Guild Hall, located at 158 Main Street in East Hampton.

The Los Angeles-based international touring artist has a background in animation by way of collage, and creates live, staged performances where she interacts with her animations as a shadow silhouette. “A combination of handmade and tech, her work exists at the cross-section of the cinematic and theatrical, fantastical and tangible, illusionistic and physical that weaves surreal and poetic narratives of conflict between man and nature,” according to a press release.
