The Mill Hosts Third Annual Southampton Sweat Event

Southampton Sweat is an event that merges music, juice, fashion and wellness through the partnership of Juice Press, Bandier and Republic Records. It will celebrate its third music and fitness festival is on August 5 from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the courtyard at the Mill in Water Mill.

Professional surfers, Quincy Davis and Balaram Stack will host Southampton Sweat, which will feature more classes and activities than in years’ past, which attracted over 1,000 participants. The day will feature fitness classes led by Manhattan’s top studios, as well as celebrity trainers, and complimentary food and beverages.

“Surf culture like fitness culture both focus on strengthening the body and mind while extending outside the sport toward sharing experience and connecting with other likeminded people, which is what Southampton Sweat is all about,” event founder, Leah Landon said.

This years schedule includes “the class” by Taryn Toomey from 9 to 9:30 a.m., AKT by Anna Kaiser from 9:40 to 10:10 a.m., Switch Playground with Steve Uria from 10:20 to 10:50 a.m., Solace Cross Fit with Kenny Santucci from 11 to 11:30 a.m., a class with Akin Akman from 11:40 a.m. to 12:10 p.m., Gotham Boxing from 12:20 to 12:50 p.m. and Tonehouse with Evan Betts from 1 to 1:30 p.m.

Republic Records will run the day’s soundtrack along with NYC’s DJ Vashtie who directed music videos for Justin Bieber, Kendrick Lamar and Solange.

Landon developed Southampton Sweat at the intersection of social connection and music experience. With a history in the music business, she recognized the power of breaking records and building artist profiles within the fitness community. She is the current Vice President of brand experience at Juice Press.

She moved on from entertainment to focus on wellness and is a certified yoga instructor, health coach, natural food chef, Pilates instructor, spin instructor and has a Masters degree in clinical social work.
