The Church in Sag Harbor hosts two opportunities for local artisanal holiday shopping this season.
This first is a Makers Market on Saturday, November 27, from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Local artisans will present wares for browsing and purchase within the historic walls of The Church in a day of food trucks, spirits, cheer, and fun.
Participating makers and companies include: Taylor Barton, Mind Offline, Scott Bluedorn, Gretchen Comly Design, Apron and Bag, Pine Baron USA, Mary Jaffe, Tasteful Skin, Shed Textile, Hidden Gem NY, Anne Kothari, Steve Miller, Grain Surfboards, Poetica Botanicals, Carey Lowell Ceramics, Susan Nieland, Hamptons Handpoured. Food and beverage: Wölffer Estate Vineyard, Mattitaco, Grindstone Coffee & Donuts.
On December 3 and December 4, from noon to 5 p.m., The Church presents a Printaganza, an exhibition and silent auction of prints created by artists at a recent workshop led by master printmaker Dan Welden. The silent auction closes December 4, at 5 p.m. with a wine and cheese reception from 4 to 6 p.m.
Monoprints are one of the most engaging, and spontaneous forms of printmaking. All monoprints are unique, and over 50 of the East End’s best-known artists participated in the Printaganza workshop at The Church on November 13 and 14. Through the generosity of Welden, sales of the prints will benefit The Church.
The Church is at 48 Madison Street in Sag Harbor. Proof of vaccination required to enter. For details, visit thechurchsagharbor.org.
