Leggard, Teammates Set New 4×100 Record

The East Hampton track team hosted an invitational on Saturday, where the girls 4×100 meter relay team of Gabby McKay, Tyra Stewart, Cecilia Blow and Pierson’s Allura Leggard set a new school record of 50.7 seconds, breaking the mark of 51.63 which was set in 2014. The 4×400 relay team, which includes Erin Leland, Devon Brown, Blowe and Pierson’s Hannah Jungck, won its event with a time of 4:19.3, inching closer to the record of 4:10.66 set in 1998.
Leggard also won the 100-meter dash on Saturday with a season-best time of 12.8 seconds and finished second in the 200 with a time of 27 seconds flat.
Jungck won the 400 intermediate hurdles with a time of 75.9 seconds, while Pierson’s Rose O’Donoghue was third in the 100-meter high hurdles in 19.6 seconds.
