The inaugural Hamptons YogaFest will take place September 18 through September 20 at the Hayground School on Mitchell Lane in Bridgehampton.
Created by Jenna Walter and Alex Grant, the festival features local and international presenters and artists sharing workshops and evening concerts with Kirtan and world music. Over 20 vendors will be featured in vendor village, with a Peaceful Planet Kids Village featuring musical journeys, peaceful planet kids yoga classes, organic cooking classes, art classes, and mindfulness activities for children throughout the day. Kids under eight need to be attended by a responsible adult. A healing village will be running Saturday and Sunday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. with healers from a wide range of modalities both ancient and modern, including cranial sacral, massage, aromatherapy, Reiki, acupuncture and shamanic healings. The community village will host arts, crafts and music as well as 30-minute community classes.
The festival will open at 5 p.m. on Friday, September 18 with an opening ceremony at 6 p.m. Music will start at 6:30 p.m. on Friday and Saturday. Workshops will begin at 8 a.m. on both Saturday and Sunday. Most classes are designed to suit a wide range of levels and styles, allowing an abundance of choice and discovery. Some classes may be more popular than others, so to ensure a space, please arrive early. Entry to the grounds is $20 for the day, excluding music and workshops. Kids 15 and under are free.
