For the second consecutive year, Pierson senior Charlotte Johnson has been named by Newsday to the All-Long Island field hockey team. Johnson, who led Pierson to the Suffolk County Class C Championship before losing to Carle Place in the Long Island final, led all of Long Island with 156 saves, according to Newsday.

In addition to being a standout field hockey player, Johnson is near the top of her class in terms of academics and starting next fall will continue her playing career at Duke University in North Carolina, which boats one of the top Division I field hockey programs in the country.
