Lovers of the season will appreciate the Southampton History Museum’s upcoming Holiday Party. Titled “Hearthside Cheer: Designer Tree Auction,” the party is from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. on Saturday, December 7. The festive evening at the Rogers Mansion, which was built during Southampton’s Gilded Age, will include food, drinks, music, and a designer tree auction.

All the trees will be expertly crafted and donated by professional interior designers and artisans to raise funds for the Southampton History Museum. Bring friends and family to celebrate with laughter and cheer!

The 20-room Rogers Mansion was developed by Samuel L. Parrish between 1899 and 1933. Ten period rooms — including a dining room set for dinner, parlors for entertaining and cozy bed chambers with fireplaces — are furnished to reflect a home during the Jazz Age. An exhibit titled “High Style in the Gilded Age: Southampton 1870-1930” is now on view and includes women’s ball gowns from that era.

Tickets to the party are $65 in advance, $80 beginning December 7. Young adult tickets (ages 21 to 35) are $35/$45. The museum is located at 17 Meetinghouse Lane, Southampton. For more information call 631-283-2494 or visit
