To mark the start of spring, Sag Harbor Elementary School first-graders recently participated in several in-class activities that strengthened their writing skills and tested their creativity.

First-graders in Christine Driver’s class colored eggs and created a bird in a nest poster project. For the latter, students wrote about what they love about spring and attached their words to cut out images of baby birds in a nest. The finished posters were displayed outside the classroom.
