For Kenneth Gloss, there is joy in the hunt — the hunt for old and rare books, that is.

The second-generation owner of Brattle Book Shop in Boston, and frequent guest appraiser on PBS’s “Antiques Roadshow,” will discuss and show off some of his favorite finds, and explain what makes a book raise in value, during a free talk on Wednesday, June 6, at the John Jermain Memorial Library, located at 201 Main Street in Sag Harbor.

Following a Q&A session, he will give free verbal appraisals of any books brought to the talk, which begins at 5:30 p.m. Registration is required. For more information about this talk, as well as book collecting and appraisals, please call (800) 447-9595 or visit brattlebookshop.com.
