The East Hampton Town Board will host individual sessions on tentative hamlet plans for downtown areas through the town beginning with a public hearing on the Wainscott hamlet plan on Thursday, October 4, at 6:30 p.m.
A public hearing on the East Hampton hamlet plan will be held on October 18; the Amagansett hamlet plan will be up on November 1; a public hearing on the Springs hamlet plan will be on November 15; and a hearing on the Montauk hamlet plan will be on December 6.
According to a press release issued by the town board this week, comments on any hamlet plan will be taken at all public hearings.
The hamlet plan studies began in 2015, led by Peter Flinker of the Massachusetts-based Dodson and Flinker and Lisa Liquori, a former town planning director who now runs Fine Arts and Sciences. The ultimate goal of the studies is to create individual master plans for each hamlet, which could then be folded into the town’s Comprehensive Plan.
