Harvey Herman On View At Quogue Library
Harvey Herman has traveled the world to find beauty, only to decide that the East End may be the most beautiful place of them all.
From long bay reeds in the wind and bamboo forests bent over by heavy snow, to fruit farms in the spring and wildlife at every turn, the Hampton Bays-based artist has captured local flora and fauna in his paintings, now on view through January 29 at the Quogue Library, located at 90 Quogue Street in Quogue.
The exhibit, which will have a reception on Saturday, January 6, from 3 to 4:30 p.m., features Herman’s favorite subjects, including his Koi pond, indigenous wildlife, local waterfront landscapes and winter scenes.
