Hamptons Doc Fest Lifts Curtain on Rebranding

New name. New logo. New films.

The Hamptons Take 2 Documentary Film Festival is now the Hamptons Doc Fest — short, succinct and edited to reflect the organization’s passion for the non-fiction genre, according to a press release.

The festival will launch its second decade of docs on Thursday, November 29, with the opening night film, “Every Act of Life,” directed by Jeff Kaufman, at Bay Street Theater in Sag Harbor.

On Saturday, December 1, the annual gala will honor Sheila Nevins, former director of HBO Documentary Films, with the Lumiere Career Achievement Award before screening her executive produced films “The Number on Great-Grandpa’s Arm” and “Triangle: Remembering the Fire.”

Tickets will be available starting Thursday, November 1, and the festival will continue through Monday, December 3. For more information, visit hamptonsdocfest.com.
