Bay Street Theater in Sag Harbor announced this week that “Five Presidents,” the new play by Emmy Award winning writer Rick Cleveland, will extend its run for a second time due to popular demand. The production will now run through July 26 with matinees at 2 p.m. on Wednesday and Sundays, and a special matinee on Saturday, July 25 at 2 p.m. when the evening performance at Bay Street Theater will be replaced by a Comedy Club night with Darrell Hammond at 8 p.m.

“Five Presidents” centers on the meeting of America’s most exclusive club – the ex-presidents. Obliged to gather together on the day of Richard Nixon’s funeral, four “exes” and one “current” vent frustrations, revisit old grievances, and reveal the toll that it takes on any person foolish enough to seek the highest office in the land.

“It has been thrilling to watch audiences respond with such enthusiasm to Rick Cleveland’s new play,” says Scott Schwartz, Artistic Director at Bay Street, “The actors are marvelous and each performance has been both entertaining and thought provoking. I am delighted Bay Street will now offer more opportunities to see this East Coast premiere.”
