    Water Mill Museum

    Visit the Water Mill Museum with its rich history of a restored working water-powered grist mill and exhibits of local historic artifacts. We have kid-friendly exhibits, Water Mill Post Office, Whaling, Fishing, Mill Pond eco-system, Uncle Fred’s Workshop, and our Miller’s Children’s Hands-on Milling with reservations. Come to our art exhibits, quilt show and sale, high tea, artist paint night with advance registration, “Bowls of Plenty” fundraiser and more.

    Museum is open Thursday through Monday from 11am to 5pm, closed Tuesdays and Wednesdays. Admission is free with the exception of the Quilt Show. Become a member! All are welcome! For more information call 631-726-4625 or visit us at

    The Water Mill Museum is celebrating its 50th year anniversary! The museum dating back to 1644 has a rich history of being the oldest working water-powered grist mill in the United States. We have exhibits of local historic artifacts, section of the Old Post Office, Uncle Fred's Cabin, art exhibits including a gift shop.
