    The Watermill Center

Join us Sunday, August 12th for Discover Watermill Day 2018! The afternoon will consist of art installations, performances, workshops, tours and family activities.

The Watermill Center’s eight-and-a-half acres of beautifully landscaped grounds will be open for the public to freely experience site-specific installations and performances interspersed amongst outdoor sculptures and artifacts, providing a unique opportunity for the Hamptons community to meet artists from over 30 countries all participating in The Watermill Center’s International Summer Program. The participants spend 5-6 weeks at Watermill exploring and collaborating on new ideas and endeavors under the guidance of Artistic Director, Robert Wilson. Tours of The Center and The Watermill Collection will take place throughout the day.

Admission is free and open to the public. No reservation required.

    About The Watermill Center

Founded in 1992 by avant-garde visionary and theater director Robert Wilson, The Watermill Center is an interdisciplinary laboratory for the arts and humanities located on Long Island’s East End. With an emphasis on creativity and collaboration, Watermill integrates performing arts practice with resources from the humanities, research from the sciences and inspiration from the visual arts. The Center is unique within the global landscape of experimental artistic practice and regularly convenes the brightest minds from across disciplines to do, in Wilson’s words, “what no one else is doing.”
