    Event Overview

    John Jermain Memorial Library

    For teens in grades 8 through 12. The Young Artists and Writers Project (YAWP), which is run through Stony Brook Southampton’s MFA in Creative Writing, will lead this workshop in fiction, essay, poetry and more. Students will advance their writing skills and participate in constructive group critique. Student work is eligible to be digitally published at yawpezine.com. Students will be encouraged to participate in a public performance. And don’t forget, free pizza! These workshops are underwritten by generous donations from the friends of Jeanette Sarkisian Wagner, a long-time advocate of youth literacy programs.
