Update: This concert will now be a Facebook Live event at 8 p.m. on Saturday, March 14, on Katherine C.H.E.’s page: http://www.facebook.com/katherine.che. Katherine will return to the Wamponamon Lodge in June.
Due to concerns about the spread of COVID-19, all March in-person performances of the Wamponamon Music Series have been canceled.
On Saturday, March 14, at 8 p.m., Katherine C.H.E. returns for an encore performance in the Wamponamon Masonic Music Series: A Singer Songwriter Music Series at the Masonic Lodge, 200 Main Street, Sag Harbor. According to series curator Joe Haines, her first show at the venue in November 2019 was “nothing short of perfect. Everyone loved it.”
“I am thrilled to be invited back,” says C.H.E. whose music is known for its positive, upbeat message and soothing sounds. “I just loved being in that magical room. It is so warm and welcoming and wonderfully weird and beautiful, and the sound is amazing … perhaps the best acoustics on the East End. I had always been curious about what was upstairs above the Whaling Museum … now I know, and I am eager to get back there.”
C.H.E.’s show will run until 10 p.m. with one intermission.
“It was so fun putting together the set list of originals for the last show, and there were so many of my songs I had to leave out that I wanted to sing … I’ll get the chance to sing some of them at this show.”
Running most weekend evenings, the Masonic Music Series showcases local music creators in all genres, and proceeds support local scholarships, charities, and the Sag Harbor food pantry. For more information visit masonicmusicseries.com.
