The 7th Annual Peconic Family Fun Day — an event held at multiple non-profit locations throughout the East End — will be held on Saturday, May 7, giving local children a variety of ways to learn about the ecosystems, estuaries and environments that give the Twin Forks its natural beauty and biodiversity.
The event, held rain or shine from 10 a.m. to noon, will be filled with a host of fun and accessible activities that encourage water management, agricultural sustainability, recycling and environmental stewardship through games, interaction with live animals, arts and crafts, seed planting, taste testing, music and more.
The event will take place at the Children’s Museum of the East End in Bridgehampton, Amaryllis Farm in Bridgehampton, Amber Waves Farm in Amagansett, Bhumi Farms in East Hampton, Country Lane Gardens of the Hamptons in Wainscott, the Friends of the Long Pond Greenbelt in Sag Harbor, Good Water Farms in East Hampton, the Hampton Library in Bridgehampton, the Long Island Aquarium in Riverhead, the Peconic Land Trust, the Quogue Wildlife Refuge, the Ross School, Southampton Hospital’s Tick-Borne Disease Resource Center, and the South Fork Natural History Museum (SoFo) in Bridgehampton.
All ages are encouraged to attend this free day of activities. For more information, visit cmee.org or call (631) 537-8250.
